Do not be fooled. Yes, it is a generic filter you are purchasing. Yes, they did picture a Miele filter making you think you are purchasing an equivalent, direct replacement. Yes, the one that ships will fit your Meile. BUT...Miele's has Activated Carbon for odor control, this generic does not. Be forewarned!

It is difficult to find replacement Miele hepa filters in the stores. The price for this hepa filter is more or less the same at most vendors, although this vendor provided the lowest price, but other vendors matched it as well. I could have gotten the 3M after market hepa filter instead, but it did not get particularly good reviews. Although, I do use the 3m filcrete after market vacuum bags and find they are excellent at lower cost than the Miele bags. So I ordered the Miele AH30 Hepa filter and the 3m bags at the same time and they came in one package. The overall price was good, and the vendor was fast.

I have a Miele canister vacuum which is over 12 years old and still as good as new. And this is saying something because i use it 3 to 4 times a week because of my dogs. This HEPA filter is expensive but seems to be worth it.
I don't replace it yearly like they say you should but when I feel the machine needs a new one. Will keep purchasing until I get a new vacuum, which I think will never happen. The Miele canister is constructed like a tank. 4 stars due to price.

It's hard to write a review about an air filter. It installed easily and I love my Miele vacuum. There's great comfort in knowing that I have a HEPA filter in the vacuum preventing anything from being exhausted back out. So I'm happy with it.
