By Kajankow This filter is very efficient in getting everything up and out of the carpets. When this is clean it works wonders. After a while it gets clogged up and doesn't perform as well but still the job.
good fit, no issues Jun 09, 2011
By mc We have tightly woven and low carpet. But we still have a lot of dust from leaving our window open most of the day. The filter seems to work well when I turn on our small eureka because I don't notice a big spray of dust bursting from the vents that occurs when the filter is full. I wish the filter was easily cleaned so that I don't have to always purchase new ones. The dust gets captured well in it, but I can't pull it off easily almost similar to dryer lint traps. I think the price is a bit much for one filter for a inexpensive vaccuum. At least, they should provide two filters. But maybe I"m asking for too much. all in all, it works well.
Amazon seller Eureka DCF-17 filters not original specs. Feb 23, 2011

Eureks Filter Style DCF-17 from Amazon is a hard plastic frame that makes it very difficult to install compared to the original soft plastic of the original. Amazon got ripped off by the manufacturer of these that Amazon is selling. Amazon is pushing their bad filters onto their customers who have to work and work to get any value from this product.
Not bad Feb 10, 2011
By GaryDaBassman Received the product quickly. The filter does not fit in the vacuum as well as the original filter. Had to work with it a few minutes to get the cover to close completely. Once installed, it works great.

By RW This was the best price deal, including shipping, that I could find. The exact mfg. spec. part also. Timely shipping. I stocked up on these. Aftermarket look-alikes didn't seem worth taking a chance on.
