belt good as long as it lasts Apr 11, 2009
By mohandas This is an essential buy for Eureka maxima bagless vacuum because it breaks often [one in every 3months on average). This is not a shortcoming of the belt itself but a drawback of the vacuum's roller system which gets stuck if not cleaned frequently, snapping the belt as a result.

Broke the first day Jun 14, 2009
By David Long Both of these belts broke on the first day. The previous belt had lasted over a year. I thought these would be better, since their labeled as Extended wear. I picked up some cheap ones (not Eureka brand)at walmart, and they are fine. I guess EXT means extra thick, which also means less pliable. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but I'll stick to off brand from now on.

Really makes the brush roll move Oct 31, 2005

I broke the belt of the vacuum when I first tried it. Replacing was easily done and now it works prefect, but that's not what baffled me. It arrived the day after I ordered it. I didn't have to go one day without a working vacuum.

Good product, but you have to make sure it's installed correctly Nov 15, 2010
By k_luna_star I read the reviews previous to mine about the belts breaking after one or two uses so I was a little skeptical. The first one I used did break after only one use but after I put the second one on I made sure that it was installed correctly in the grooves and it has lasted every since so I don't think that the first one breaking has to do with the quality of the product. Will buy again when necessary!

Not So Great - Wish I could give 0 stars Jul 27, 2010
By The one with all the toys The belt that was on my vacuum when I bought it lasted quite a long time - 2 years or so at least. I got these as replacements, and the first one lasted a few months, the second one broke the second time I used it. These belts are not great - the only only good thing about them is that they are cheap. I'd like to know what kind of belt people are finding at walmart that will fit the same as these do - even though it's probably cheaper to have them shipped from Amazon than what I would pay in gas to drive to walmart, the idea of having a belt last a bit longer and not be caught in a bind because I can't vacuum would be worth it.
EDIT: The second time I bought these belts, I got even worse results. The first belt lasted 2 vacuumings, and the second one broke almost instantly after I installed it. Instead of a vacuumed floor what I end up with is a house filled with the smell of burned rubber. It's disgusting. I'd mentioned before that I was at least happy these were cheap, but I retract that now. I had picked up another belt at a place that starts with K and ends with mart and it lasted much longer than these. My very loving spouse has thankfully finally said that I might be able to purchase a new vacuum in the near future ... I'm crossing my fingers as this intimate relationship I've been having with my Eureka just isn't really doing it for me.
