We bought this filter as a back up to the original unit furnished with the vacuum. So far we've not had to use it. Came promptly via USPS.

The Dirt Devil Purpose vacuum has been great... but even after cleaning out
the original filter many times, it lost it's suction. Cat hair needs lots of suction.
The new filter fit's perfectly and it feels like a brand new vacuum.
Glad I bought two filters... I shouldn't wait so long between changes.
Like other reviews.... it's difficult to find
the F9 Dirt Devil Hepa Filters in local stores.

It's the OEM filter, so I can't say that it filters any better or worse than the original filters, because it does, and because it is the original (not an aftermarket filter).
If you have a Dirt Devil hand vac that takes one of these filters, buy a few and keep the filters clean. It really helps these little vacs.
